Even On A Grey Day Wales Can Provide Stunning Views
Hello there. Hope you’re feeling well.
When you visit Wales for the first time you’re struck by one simple fact. Wherever you are you’re never far away from a stunning view.
For the past few weeks I’ve not been well. Unfortunately I’ve been well enough to go to work but I constantly feel like the brown stuff with a rotation of a cough, cold/head cold, sore throat and general yuckiness of an infection that seems to have infected South Wales in this period. Caused I suspect by the abnormally wet and (for April) cold weather.
Anyway last Sunday on driving to Bridgend for work I felt the need to pull over into a layby. And after I took some cold/flu tablets glugging it down with sugar free cola I noticed this.
The weather as you see was grey but noticeably shades of grey. Particularly the cloud that from the distance seemed to touch the top of the valley, which I would guess to be the Rhondda.
And whilst the sky tried to go further to reach fifty shades it didn’t deflect from the green green grass of the journey to work. Still the rich and full green was there for those illness had a moment to pause and view.
I may be an old romantic (I certainly am old) but it’s the ability of Wales to provide this that makes it a special nation (despite it’s many issues) to live in.
Until the next time.
